Artists must be willing to be vulnerable.

Here on the blog, I’ll be giving you a glimpse into my life as an award-winning machine quilter. Discover what goes into my designs, and how I experiment and add new elements to my work.
I hope it inspires you to create.
Squares placed in a grid are the basis for lots of quilts I’ve made. When I saw a Josef Albers painting with squares in squares at the modern wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC I was mesmerized.
Blocked, bound, and ready to go!
As I was enjoying all the great quilts at Quilt Expo in Madison when I found this quilt made by LeaAnn Wente and Sally Giordana and longarm quited by Pat Barry.
Loved quilting my friend Gail’s southwestern themed quilt “Prickly Passion” on my longarm machine. Some of the quilting motifs are my original designs including the prickly pear cactus, a desert rose, and just a “prickly” image I created and stitched in bronze thread.
