The "currency exchange" challenge.
"To View the Ocean O the Joy" ---20" x 20"
The object was to find a piece of currency from any country and any time period
and create a quilt inspired by it.
This was inspired by a 2005 Lewis and Clark Nickel
This 10 piece panel vista can be seen on the display window at
Gallery Nouveau in Corvallis, OR through the month of September 2007.
It was originally seen at the Giustina Gallery, also in Corvallis, in Aug 2006.
My panel for the project is shown below.
This is the view as it is seen with just the market panels
(the Mary's Peak panels taken out).
